Welcome to Happy Paws Animal Rescue! We’re a passionate, family-owned non-profit on a mission to rescue abandoned dogs and kittens from the streets of Mexico. With the help of amazing partnered vets and caring foster homes, we’re finding loving families for these precious animals. Join us in our exciting journey to make a difference and give these furry friends the life they deserve!
Goal
At our organization, we are committed to rescuing and rehabilitating over 150 pets annually by 2030. Our goal is to expand our network of foster homes and adoption events while providing education on affordable, nutritious diets to ensure the long-term health and well-being of our rescued dogs. We aim to increase community engagement by hosting adoption events, building partnerships with local businesses, and securing sustainable funding sources to support our mission.
My story
In 2014, at the age of 36, I encountered a life-altering challenge when I suffered a series of strokes. This experience not only transformed my life but also had a significant impact on my wonderful daughter, who was just 7 years old at the time. Despite her young age, she stepped up and became my greatest source of support, offering love and encouragement during those trying times. The recovery process was incredibly demanding, both physically and emotionally, leaving me feeling. However, amidst this struggle, I found myself searching for something that could reignite my passion for life. That's when we our first pup into our home, and the joy and healing he brought into our lives were immeasurable! Shortly after, we decided to adopt a second pup, and it became clear to us that we wanted to do even more for these precious souls who often go without a voice. They truly deserve to be in a loving home filled with warmth, affection, and endless cuddles!
